Occupational health software development for clinics and EHS teams

We build occupational medicine records, exam scheduling and EHS tools for clinics and in-house safety teams, designed around OSHA recordkeeping, HIPAA and Latin American rules.

  • NDA before we see your project
  • The code is 100% yours
  • 30 days of support at no cost
  • 100% remote
In short

Occupational health software development at Athyrium Studio covers pre-placement, periodic and exit exams, fitness-for-duty determinations with work restrictions, configurable clinical forms, employer portals, incident investigations and OSHA 300 and 300A logs. We design around HIPAA for US clinics and around Colombian and Mexican occupational health rules for teams that also operate in Latin America.

What keeps your clinic retyping

  1. 01

Every employer client wants fitness-for-duty results in its own format, so we retype them.

  2. 02

Our OSHA 300 log lives in a spreadsheet that only one person knows how to update.

  3. 03

Supervisors email injury reports with missing details, and we chase them for days.

  4. 04

Lab results arrive as PDFs, and someone copies every value into each chart by hand.

What we build for occupational health

01

Occupational medical records

Configurable forms by exam type and job role, provider sign-off, attachments and a log of who viewed or changed each record.

02

Exam scheduling and recalls

Online booking with reminders, due dates for every worker and exam panels defined for each employer client.

03

Fitness-for-duty and restrictions

Determinations generated from the exam with restrictions and accommodations, shared with employers without clinical details.

04

Employer portal

Each employer sees its workers, appointments and clearance letters in one place, so your staff stops emailing results.

05

Incidents and OSHA logs

Field injury reports with photos, investigations with corrective actions, and OSHA 300, 300A and 301 forms filled from the same data.

06

EHS programs and training

Hazard assessments by area, safety training with attendance, inspections and action plans tracked to closure.

Systems we connect to your clinic

  • HL7 FHIR
  • OSHA Injury Tracking Application (ITA)
  • Workday
  • ADP
  • Twilio
  • DocuSign
  • Microsoft 365
  • Google Workspace

Regulations shaping the design

We design records, permissions and reports around these rules so your clinic or safety team has the evidence ready when an auditor or inspector asks for it.

  • OSHA 29 CFR 1904US

US injury and illness recordkeeping rule behind the OSHA 300 log, the 300A annual summary and the 301 incident report.

  • HIPAAUS

US rules for protecting health information, including access controls, audit logs and business associate agreements.

  • Resolución 1843 de 2025Colombia

Colombia's Ministry of Labor rule for occupational medical evaluations and records, replacing Resolutions 2346 of 2007 and 1918 of 2009.

  • Decreto 1072 de 2015 and Resolución 0312 de 2019Colombia

Colombia's workplace safety management system (SG-SST) and its minimum standards: 7, 21 or 60 depending on company size and risk.

  • NOM-035-STPS-2018Mexico

Mexican standard for identifying, analyzing and preventing psychosocial risk factors at work.

Questions occupational health teams ask

Is the software HIPAA compliant?

We design it so your organization can meet HIPAA: encryption, role-based access, audit logs of every chart view and hosting with providers that sign a business associate agreement. Compliance also depends on your own policies and training, so we document the technical safeguards in a way your privacy officer can review and adopt.

Can it produce OSHA 300, 300A and 301 forms?

Yes. Injury and illness cases recorded in the system fill the OSHA 300 log, the 300A annual summary and the 301 incident report from the same data, and we can prepare the file your team uploads to OSHA's Injury Tracking Application. Deciding whether a case is recordable stays with your safety professional.

Can employers see their workers' medical records?

No, unless your policies and the worker's authorization allow it. Employers see the fitness-for-duty determination, restrictions and due dates, while clinical details stay with your providers. In Colombia this follows Resolución 1843 de 2025, and in the US we apply HIPAA's minimum necessary principle and the limits you set for each employer client.

Can you migrate records from our current EHR or spreadsheets?

Yes. We export from your current system, map each field with your clinical team and run a test migration you review before go-live. Original records stay available in read-only mode with their authors and dates, and nothing is removed from the old system until you approve it.

Why not use an existing EHS platform?

If an existing platform covers your workflow, it is often the right call, and we will say so. Custom software makes sense when you run a clinic serving many employers with different protocols, need medical records and safety programs in one place, or operate under US and Latin American rules at the same time.
